Called repeatedly about room issues that never got fixed The restaurant waitstaff had really bad attitudes like they didn’t want to be there or you’re an inconvenience, brought wrong food out each of the four times we ate there The hotel staff had a similar attitude as if you were a huge chore Each time they had a bad attitude I met them with… Read more

We had such a good weekend here. Loved the spa + the treatments. We were lucky and got an upgrade to a Villa which was such a great surprise. We had dinner at the restaurant as well as the tavern and it was delicious. And don’t miss out on the s’mores!

We stayed at Rush Creek Lodge between July 1-July4 2024. First, the positives: As advertised, it is right outside the western entrance to Yosemite National Park on Highway 120. The property is nice - it's situated on a hillside - and are for the most part, close together. The grounds were nice. The pool was large, there was an onsite restaurant/bar a general store, a common area with game room and lounge area, which is where most of the resort activities kick off. There was a spa onsite, but we didn't visit it. The staff was friendly (especially the staff in the General Store) and they used an automated concierge app that allowed you to ask questions or report issues using your phone via text. We rented a 2 bedroom villa, which was spacious. Every night, the lodge offered free s'mores that could be picked up in the guest lounge - and roasted just outside over an open fire in one of their fire pits. They also had a schedule of daily activities - some of them free and kid-focused. There was nice furniture on the deck of our unit and it had a great view facing west. Oh, and the soap in the bathroom/shower smelled great - very woodsy. Now, the not-so-positives. The villas are situated as four attached units- two up, two down - and if your neighbors are noisy, it can be hard to enjoy the peace and quiet. Also, I guess I expected a little more 'luxury' for 800.00 a night - while the villa was spacious, it was a little shabby and worn. We called maintenance the first night when the toilet paper roll holder came out of the wall, found that the outlets in the master bedroom weren't working and that our sliding doors out to the deck stuck. (again, the maintenance guy was really nice and showed up immediately). The cleaning staff needed to pay a little more attention to detail - they hit the important stuff and towels and sheets were clean, but you could see a layer of dust on around and under the wood stove, there were hair ties, probably from the previous quests, left on the hooks in the entry way, and the refrigerator smelled like garlic, and there was some huge dirt mark or burn on the sliding glass door curtains. And just something that sort of made me crazy - every time we went out on our deck and came back in, we got shocked when we touched the sliding door - the maintenance man said it was because the furniture was composite and the decking was composite and moving around on it created an electrical charge. And last, the smaller bedroom had a portable air conditioner in it - it was effective, but so loud. The ideal situation would have been to just be able to open the windows and enjoy the mountain air - but there was a record-breaking heat wave while we were there and the AC from the main room didn't really reach the 2nd bedroom - you needed it on to cool things down. Neither positive or negative - just FYI - there was an Alexa but no TV in our room. We didn't find that we missed it - we just played music on the Alexa while we played Phase 10 - which was one of several board games available in the villa. Read less

Great place - lots of cool amenities and super clean and inviting. My only reason for 4 (and not 5) stars is the fitness room. They set expectations appropriately on the website, inviting you to spend more time outdoors. But for a self-identified “gym rat” I recommend brining your own bands or experimenting with high rep and low weight stuff.… Read more

Definitely quality lodge with great amenities, staff and food. Just minutes from Yosemite gate. After visiting the park in the valley, I would NOT have rather stayed in the valley at all! We all agreed we’d rather stay right there at Rush Creek.
