I have just returned from a lovely holiday in Barbados. We chose the Savannah beach because of its location and the eye catching photos on the website. Having previously stayed at the wonderful Sea Breeze Hotel near Oistins, choosing the 4 star (not) Savannah we had high expectations. We stayed in a nice quiet room overlooking the courtyard. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. Room service was not so good. Over a week without clean bed linen which is meant to be changed every 3 days. We were occasionally left without towels. Otherwise ok. Breakfast was good. Plenty of fruit and freshly cooked eggs. On request, bagels were provided. Service at breakfast was intermittent, we were often overlooked for coffee and tea. Service in general was a major issue, staff morale appeared to be low. A management change had occurred during our stay and maybe resulted in inconsistent service. Lunch and dinner were very similar. Mainly Bajan food which I love but the repetition each day became tiresome. Rice, chicken, stews and the same fish served lunch and dinner. Salads were available and soup. We ventured out several days to break the food monotony. The best meal of the week was Sunday lunch, when the restaurant is opened to paying locals. If only this variety of food was available each day. Premium drinks are charged extra. Bottle beer is Banks and Deputy. Unfortunately Deputy was my preference but was rarely stocked. Entertainment was very good. A wonderful singer/saxophonist was my highlight though she played the same set the five times she appeared throughout our stay. The beach setting is beautiful. Picture Caribbean. Sea swimming is not possible because of of rocks but a lovely 15 minute walk to the hotel Hilton there are 2 small safe coves . Further around from the Hilton is Pebble Beach which is picture perfect for swimming. For early risers, racehorses are exercised here. The lazy river pool was murky and uninviting. In summary, we feel the hotel is let down by the service and food, and we will not be returning. Next door is Sugar Bay which is a 4 star hotel and there is a marked difference in quality. Read less

We have just left after spending 10 nights here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were always clean and spacious. The beds were very comfy although a little high for short people. We did have a bit of a problem with the tv and WiFi in our room to start but were given a new room when it couldn’t be fixed. We really appreciated this as I know how busy the hotel was. The hotel is on the beach which is what we like. Every morning the staff were out there raking away the leaves and twigs from the trees. The free shuttle to copacabana beach was great. Would recommend this. The food we had was delicious. It was always fresh and a good variety. The A-la carte and chopstix were amazing. I also wanted to send our compliments to a few members of staff who made the stay that extra bit special for us. Nakita in the restaurant is so friendly. She always made us feel welcome with a big smile. She went above and beyond for us when I was struggling to find a souvenir. She found them and brought them back to the hotel for me. This extra touch meant everything to us. She also recommended activities for us to do which we found a great help. Chem, Jamal and Miguel in the drifters bar are a great bunch of boys. They were very friendly and made us laugh every day at the pool bar. Ramon on the events team would always come and chat to us and got to know us and what we liked to do. Very friendly and always happy to help. Ronaldo in the kitchen went out of his way to personally make us eggs Benedict one morning which was amazing. We really appreciated that. The freshly made omelette in the mornings were the best. Thank you to the lovely ladies who made them. Sorry I didn’t get your names. All your staff are lovely. They are an asset to your establishment. We are going to miss waking up to the views, the warm weather and the friendliness of the staff. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for an unforgettable stay and the friends and memories we have made. Read less

We have stayed at Savannah Beach pre COVID and were really looking forward to returning. The hotel in our opinion has gone down in ratings, the staff were pleasant but appear unhappy in their work. The food can only be described as poor. Mostly Buffett options the one night we did get the opportunity to book for al a carte the food was basically thrown at us and it was cold. Most meal times the food was lukewarm warm or cold. Although we had housekeeping everyday they didn’t replace the towels they took, leaving us with 2 bath towels no hand towels for 3 days. There was a group booked in approx 20 people who at times were quite intimidating taking over the beach bar putting their own music on , ordering takeaways to the beach area in the evening. The management should have had a quiet word, yes they were on holiday but so are everyone else. we did have a lovely holiday ate out more that we have previously due to the poor quality food and the lack of choice. We had a couple of days of on off rain and the beach bar closed in the evening, the rain had been in the morning the size of Rachel’s bar was not suitable for all the guests and the very loud entertainment that was on each evening including a fire eating act. We will return to Barbados but not to Savannah Beach Read less

We had a very good stay at this charming hotel in October. The hotel is very clean, comfortable with very friendly staff in every part of the hotel. We were so well looked after and couldn’t fault the service from every team. Our room was immaculate with a nice bed so sleep was excellent! The bathroom possibly needed some modernising but was absolutely fine. Housekeeping was efficient and our room was kept in top order. The beach is nice to relax on but sadly owing to a recent storm the water is not accessible so swimming is off the menu! However just ten mins walk away through the trees is the most glorious white sandy beach where you can hire brollies and beds at a reasonable cost plus there is a nice beach bar too. We went there regularly. Also at the weekend there is a complimentary trip to the copacababa beach club which was lovely. My only feedback really is that the food while plentiful is no terribly exciting. It’s plentiful but a bit uninspiring with similar choices for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was great though I would recommend this hotel as a more budget option Read less
