The hotel

There’s something special about staying in a family run resort. It adds an air of authenticity, a warmer kind of welcome, and little extras which bigger hotels might just forget about. That’s what you get with True Blue Bay Boutique Resort. The owners know just what you need for a stay on this south coast bay, and they include family musts like a kids' playground and activities, local touches like rum and chocolate tasting, and free treats like Hobie cats, ocean kayaks and yoga classes. They even run a complimentary shuttle to Grand Anse Beach, and BBC Beach in Morne Rouge. Designing the hotel themselves, the Fielden family have added Caribbean touches throughout the resort, as well as those things you’d only expect from a big-name hotel; including four pools, a spa, a boutique, fresh bakery, escape room game, and a PADI-certified dive centre.

The staff on the front desk were very helpful and sort everything out for me and my family, especially Devenne and Brant for going the extra mile. The Vibe Bar every evening from 6-7pm with free cocktails and chocolates, giving us an opportunity to feedback to staff and meeting other guests in the hotel. You don't need to leave the Resort because there are activities during the day and night such Street Foods, Barbecue, Beer, Wings and Pizza evening with live music everynight. The breakfast buffet is delicious with lots of options, but my favourite bakes and salt fish souse and local herbal tea and juices. Very friendly staff and excellent service at the breakfast. Thanks to house keeping staff for their diligence and hard work cleaning and maintenance of our room daily, especially Rhonda and the others for warm and wonderful smiles every day. I will come again and recommend friends and family to stay at True Blue Bay Resort 💙. Read less

It was all hands on deck, from the local ownership family who are engaged and hands on, to Kevin the GM who worked around the clock with his team to prepare the resort and ensure the safety and comfort of hotel guests. About 40 staff boarded at the hotel - the generator ensured continuous power, plenty of drinking water from 200,000 gallon tanks, and all meals provided. Excellent communications based upon WhatsApp and guest safety briefing meetings. Nice rooms, good food, lots of pools, enjoyable yoga, but the employees are the true gem here. Read less

The hotel charges an extra $150 for all inclusive but it's NOT an all inclusive hotel. U get a menu where u have to choose 1 appetizer 1 main and 1 desert and I got no desert. False advertisement on website. I checked out after 1 night and they over charged me because I stayed 1 night. I am very upset because this hotel is not worth $1000 per… Read more

There’s a great kids menu in the restaurant with lots of options (service does take a while so bring something to occupy the little ones!) we stayed in one of the villas - it was fantastic. Had its own plunge pool which was amazing- it was spacious, clean and cool! Room service and cleaning was excellent. Pools are lovely, drinks are delicious - a fun place. We took the free shuttle to Grand Anse and BBC beach, and also hired a car one day to explore on our own - reception sorted this out for us during our visit. We had the pleasure of meeting Russ - the owner - who was charming and enthusiastic. The hotel had lots of eco-credentials - encourages recycling, no plastic bottles etc - which is nice to see.
