The room so clean and well maintained. The staff approachable and friendly, during my check in very helpful until i get my room card. Great preparation for my wedding anniversary but unfortunately my wife she's in the Philippines. Good job, keep up the good work. Thank you so much

It was our base for 2 days while we explored Sentosa island. Very easy walk to universal studios and train and beach. Central to everything and food was great also we swam in all the pools. Our room was an interconnected one to our kids. We will stay again.

This was our first week on a two week holiday in Asia. We chose village Hotel for its location on Sentosa. Location is great just a shame the beach is currently out of use with the oil spillage. Positives, pools are nice and a good temperature. you can also go in the pools up to 10 pm which was nice after going to the city for the day. breakfast was good with a wide selection but can get a bit busy. The rooms are a little small but well-maintained and suited our holiday. we arrived rather early and we're very pleased to find both our rooms were available at 11 am. very close to the monorail which is free and easy to use. The iced water and filtered water available in your room and down the hallway was great. Negatives: the pool bar is not open after 5pm in the evening meaning people were buying drink from the 7-11 and drinking around the pool. I personally didn't have a problem with this but looks like I missed opportunity by the hotel. With the pool being open to 10 pm with no lifeguard, I was a little concerned about any accidents but didn't actually see any while we were there. overall, a good hotel with good facilities in a good location to explore the city and also Santosa. We had a family room, which were really two interconnecting rooms. Great. Rooms small when you add suitcases, but they were fine. Loved the double room setup. Beds very comfortable. Ice/water station and vending machine on every level. No bar onsite. There is a huge restaurant, although we found the breakfast cold, even though it was fresh. Easy walk to monorail or island bus. Disappointed ☹️. Im writing this on our final stay after 5 nights at the Village Hotel. We stayed at another Singapore hotel off Orchard in Tanglin at the start of our trip which was 3 stars and was 20 times better. I don’t know if because they are in demand, it’s located on Sentosa, but they just seem so greedy and rude! You have to pay $2 for 3 tiny little lollies on display for the kids at the front reception. When I called to ask for something simple like sticky tape, they rudely respond that I can borrow the tape, but i have to go down to reception because no way will they come to the room. When I went to pick up the tape, “you just return this okay?” It’s sticky tape! We are paying almost a grand a night! The restaurant at the lobby won’t provide tap water, you need to pay $9-11 for bottled water. I don’t know if this is an exclusive Sentosa experience, but we have a theory, there were a lot of entitled, rich tourists staying here and perhaps the staff are sick of it and just hate their jobs! Sorry but we won’t ever return. The staff are rude and I have to say, a lot of the tourists are too! Do yourself a favour and stay off the Sentosa. If we could have shorten our stay, we would have. Positive - clean room - clean bathroom - great pool Negative - rude staff - rude tourists - tourists hogging pool chairs - too busy and impersonal Read less
