Stephanie, George, and Richard provided me and my friends great service we definitely will be back. The food was amazing. My friends enjoyed the caesar salad and I had the salmon. Everything was delicious and fresh. The truffle fries are also pretty tasty.

Matt at the Ocean2000 was outstanding and very accommodating with our group. Great atmosphere and friendly staff overall! We have been coming to the Pelican for years and won’t go anywhere else. One thing we always comment on is how the resort has an amazing signature scent!

Pelican is our favorite beach resort. The scent of the lobby is like a beach in heaven. At dinner at the Ocean 2000, Matt provided superb service and went above and beyond to make sure our birthday dinner was perfect. Delicious food as always and wonderful ambiance.

There were many things I loved about the Pelican. The property is beautiful. It has a grand southern plantation feel to it and I loved that. I loved our room. Oceanfront suite with 2 king beds and balcony. It was beautiful as was the bathroom and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful BUT I discovered the shower door didn't go the whole length. I was already undressed in shower and with the AC on O froze my butt off. Also took awhile to figure out how to get the hot water. Paid a $50 resort fee on top of a pretty high premium for the room. We didn't have a car, and no other eating establishments near the hotel, so we had to eat there. They automatically add a 22% gratuity to your check, which I find high and presumptuous. The food prices are high. Example: we each had a hamburger, FF and glass of water from the lounge. Our bill $50and change. Including tax and gratuity. For breakfast we ate at the restaurant on the porch, oceanfront and it was very lovely. We each had scrambled eggs and bacon, potatoes, a cup of coffee and my son also had the short stack (2) pancakes. Our bill Including tax and gratuity $73. Not sure if I mentioned this, but there were 2 of us. I consider $73 for breakfast for 2 people to be very expensive, even if it's Oceanfront. I think the constant raising of prices in this country needs to just stop. There are many of us that aren't millionaires or anywhere near. Read less

Literally one of the few hotels in the Ft Lauderdale area that is on the ocean and not across the street from it. You can sleep with the balcony window opened at night and listen to the ocean. Waking up to the sunrise over the ocean is just mesmerizing. The Pelican is always my to go hotel when visiting the Ft Lauderdale area.
