What a beautiful and stunning location. Even though there were renovations going on you couldn't tell as everything was kept to a particular area. Coffee making facilities are OK if you only want 1/4" of coffee in your cup. We found this the case in all the Fairmonts and they really should do something about it. Coffee making facilities are OK if you only want 1/4" of coffee in your cup. We found this the case in all the Fairmonts and they really should do something about it. The room itself was small but clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful from the desk, concierge to the shuttle bus drivers, they were great. Hotel has 4 restaurants and we found out on our 2nd day that they also offer shuttle to restaurants in the area (not sure why they don't advertise this) so there are lots of options for food. A beautiful place to stay. Read less

We stayed at the Fairmont Chateau as part of a RoadTrip in the US and Canada. We originally booked the Fairmont Jasper but due to wildfire, we changed to Lake Louise. We stayed in the Glacier Suite and whilst there we celebrated a 50th birthday and a 15 year wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived, the Fairmont exceeded all our expectations. Staff guided us to our check in at the 7th floor Gold lounge and reception. Our room was absolutely beautiful and the view is breathtaking. There was also extra touches in the room for our celebrations which were appreciated. What made our stay even better was that the hotel is not open to day visitors and so you didn’t have to compete with non hotel guests for restaurants / seating which is often a problem in other hotels in national parks (eg Yosemite). Also there are express lines for hotel guests for camping for example. The staff are exemplary and attended to our every need. I’ve stayed in many 5 star hotels but this by far was one of our best experiences. We most definitely will be returning customers to the Fairmont hotels. Read less

The food was outstanding and we never went 2 minutes without a full glass of water (or champagne!) Our server was Matt - whatever he gets paid it is not enough! He was extremely personable with everyone he came into contact with and you can tell he loves his job. We had afternoon tea for my 30th birthday/our honeymoon and he made the experience feel very special. We will definitely remember our trip forever, especially our afternoon at the Fairmont. We were married at this beautiful property 8 years ago. The place was stunning but the service needed A LOT of improvement. We were expecting more of the same but were pleasantly surprised at how friendly and accommodating the entire staff were.
