The location is breathtaking, the service impeccable! We've never stayed anywhere our pup was more welcome than here (she received her very own goodie bag at check-in and the expanse of lush green lawn provided plenty of room to roam). What a disappointment! Thin walls and floors. Either Frankenstein was upstairs over our room or the place is built too cheap. The noise level was awful. From walking upstairs to babies crying down the hall, to hearing everything being said in the next room. Towel quality similar to the cheapest you could buy at Walmart. Restaurant required… Read more

From walking upstairs to babies crying down the hall, to hearing everything being said in the next room. Towel quality similar to the cheapest you could buy at Walmart. Restaurant required reservations, but don't bother. Waitress spilled coffee over table by overflowing the cup. Didn't apologize or clean it up. Had to get someone else to do it. Sausage was undercooked and inedible. Dinner was okay, but not high quality. Breakfast was horrible. My stomach was literally sick within an hour. I stayed for two nights. Never again. Read less

This has always been a perfect place for us to stay after a day of shopping. The relaxing atmosphere is just what we need. Drinks in the Tavern are great and the staff are very friendly.

White Mountain Hotel is a gem! Nestled between the mountains, it is a lovely place to get away from the hustle and bustle. My husband and I found it the perfect spot to stay while we explored the White Mountains. Kancamangus Highway, Diana’s Baths, Cathedral Ledge were nearby. The rooms were very comfortable after a long day of exploring and hiking. The views from Ledges restaurant and the hotel itself were stunning, The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is the service in Ledges and the Tavern. It was very evident that they were understaffed and staff on duty was stressed. The hostess on the first night was less than welcoming. While we waited at the Tavern Bar, we could not get the attention of the bartender to order a drink while we waited for our table. We waited 10 minutes before anyone would make eye contact with us. By the time we got our drinks, the hostess came to seat us. She became irritated with us as we tried to close out our tab. Thankfully, our subsequent experiences being seated for breakfast were better. However, the lack of staffing continued to be a problem throughout our stay. We just took it all in stride and didn’t let it define our experience. Read less
